Numbers increased by 764 head on the previous week. Two local processors were present along with two major processors, a couple of traders and a strong gallery of local buyers.
Local trade steers improved in value up 10c, local trade heifers improved slightly in value up 4c and local trade cows eased in price, back 32c.
Ox suitable for slaughter eased slightly, back 7c, cows suitable for slaughter sold in similar range on the previous week with values remaining firm and bulls suitable for slaughter eased by 20c on the previous week.
The yarding consisted of 281 steers averaging 294.9c selling to a top of 370.2c, 53 bulls averaging 251.8c selling to a top of 330c, 208 cows averaging 205.5c selling to a top of 286.2c, 109 heifers averaging 258.8c selling to a top of 319.2c, 75 yearling heifers averaging 237.5c selling to a top of 280.2c and 201 yearling steers averaging 276.4c selling to a top of 316.2c.
Good quality steers improved by 10c on a very strong market compared to the week before. Good quality store heifers sold to rates firm on the previous week.
