The thirst for grey Brahman bulls continued on the second day of selling at the Rockhampton Brahman Week Sale.
Day two of the sale at CQLX Gracemere topped at $100,000 when the 34-month-old Token Joe 693/7 (P), a son of Glengarry Gillette 2469 (P) from a Token female entered the ring.
Offered by Tony and Kathryn Mortimer, Token Brahmans, Cotswold, Dalma, the beautiful, sirey polled bull was bought by the McKenzie family, Arizona Brahmans, Dingo.
Kathryn Mortimer said Token Joe had re-written the record book for their stud and stands as their highest price so far.
"We are very humbled by the confidence which has been displayed in our genetics and this result is very rewarding," she said.
At 972 kilograms, Token Joe has a scrotal circumference of 40cm and an eye muscle area of 140sq cm.

Next at $95,000 was Clukan El Toro 361/8 (AI) (ET) (H) offered by Steve and Theresa Taylor, Clukan Brahmans, Jambin.
A son of NCC El Toro from a Clukan Cassie female, the 24-month-old sire was bought by Gavin and Owen Scott, Rosetta Station, Collinsville.
A commercial producer, Mr Scott maintains a red and grey Brahman herd and produces 40 to 50 bulls annually for his breeding operation, which includes Rosetta and Yacamunda Stations.
The Taylors' Clukan grey draft of five bulls was very warmly received and sold to a hefty average of $39,100.
Making $90,000 was Brahrock Sherlock 5986 (H) offered by Royce and Beryl Sommerfeld, Brahrock Brahmans, Maryborough.
Brahrock Sherlock was secured by Paul and Debbie Herrod, Ponderosa Brahmans, Katherine, Northern Territory.
At 28 months of age, Brahrock Sherlock is a son of JDH Mr Boswick Manso (Imp US), from the powerful breeding matron Brahrock Miss Wise Power who has bred very well for the Sommerfeld family.
Respected Charolais breeder, Ivan Price, Moongool, Yuleba, is also a dedicated Brahman breeder and secured the price tag of $80,000 for his 24-month-sold sire Moongool Mr Marbellouz (IVF) (H), a son of JDH Mr Encino Manso from the Brahrock matron Miss Ambassador EMP.
Moongool Mr Marbellouz was secured by Tony and Kathryn Mortimer, Token Brahmans, Dalma, in partnership with Vicki and Scott Hayes, Yenda V Brahmans, Mundubbera.
Co-buyer Kathryn Mortimer explained both parties liked the bull and all his attributes so joined forces in order to secure him.
"He has a beautiful sirey head, good bone and a natural carcase with great Breenplan and EBVs," Mrs Mortimer said.
"Firstly we will collect his semen at Rocky Repro, then share him in natural matings."
Also selling for $80,000 was Doonside Marvel offered by breed veteran Bill Geddes, Doonside Brahman Stud, Rossmoya, selling to Jim Bauer, Elanora Park, Gin Gin.
After all the years of dominating the RBWS and selling many high price bulls Mr Geddes was proud to say this was the best price he had achieved so far.
A modest man of few words, Mr Geddes said Doonside Marvel was a very practical bull and he has a full flush brother that he will keep to breed from.
"Jim (the buyer) knows our cattle very well," he said
Ken and Wendy Cole, Kenrol Brahmans, Gracemere, sold Kenrol Meile Manso 0539 (IVF) a scurred son of the great sire producing JDH Mr Elmo Manso (Imp US) from Kenrol's leading donor dam El Ja Chloie Manso, who is a daughter of JDH Mr Manso (Imp US) for $50,000.
Kenrol Meile Manso is a bull who displayed breed quality, sire appeal, and great length combined with the softness the Kenrol cattle are renowned to breed.
He was secured by Gavin Scott, Rosetta Station, Collinsville, who continued to invest heavily over the two days.
A total of 20 bulls sold for $30,000 or above.
In all, a total of 197 grey Brahmans were offered and sold for an average of $12,871, representing 100 per cent clearance on day two.
