Emerald combined agents yarded 1139 head and 16 cows and calves at the September 17 sale, recording a decline on the previous week's numbers.
All regular buyers were in attendance and there was mix quality on offer, which saw the better quality sold to stronger rates.
Heavy steers over 550kg reached 324c/kg and steers 500-550kg topped at 314c. Steers 350-400kg reached 399c and weaner steers sold to 451c to gain 21c on last week's sale.
Heavy cows sold to a top of 275c and cows 450-520kg reached 278c. Heavy heifers over 400kg made to 334c to be 13c dearer, heifers 280-350kg sold to 397c and heifers 200-280c sold to 399c. Only 16 cow and calf units were yarded and made $1200.
