The first sale at Gracemere for 2018 saw a yarding of 2210 head penned on January 12, consisting of 1050 steers, 785 heifers, 280 cows, 60 cows and calves and 35 bulls.
The market opened a shade cheaper to the close of 2017, cattle were drawn from most areas in Central Queensland and their condition reflected the wide variation in the prevailing seasonal conditions. There were some plain cattle on offer along with some excellent pens of finished cattle.
