A man has been found dead after being swept off the Lloyd Jones Weir last night.
Police confirmed that at about 6:20pm yesterday (Thursday), a woman reported a man had been swept off the weir, just outside Barcaldine.
A search of the area located the man deceased about 200m downstream.
A Queensland Police spokesman said the man's death was not considered suspicious and a report will be prepared for the coroner.
The area has recently been inundated with flooding and there are multiple current flooding warnings.
