GOONDIWINDI grazier Charles Carson says it's already almost too wet to get around on the 1800 hectare Goondiwindi property Bondoola.
"The rain just seems to keep coming," Mr Carson said.
"This brigalow, melonhole country is now wet, very wet with the recent 75mm we've had.
"It's still alright to get to most places on the quad bike, but I won't be taking a vehicle anywhere soon."
Bondoola is located east of Goondiwindi and receives water from the Wandalli and Murri Murri creeks.
In addition to keeping a close eye on his Angus breeders, Mr Carson is closely monitoring the Bureau of Meteorology's forecasts which promise 50mm of accumulated rain for much of eastern Australia over the next eight days.
"More rain is going to make it a whole lot wetter but fortunately there's a few places the cattle can go," he said.
"We're now going into an excellent summer, a big difference to all those years of drought."
BOM's latest three month outlook says December to February rainfall is likely to be above average for northern and eastern Queensland, eastern NSW, and much of Victoria.
Chances are highest along eastern Queensland, where chances of above median summer rainfall are greater than 75 per cent in places, BOM says.
