"Absolutely amazing" were the words used by event organiser Sal Bradford to describe the 2021 Rural Women Unite Ladies Luncheon in Charters Towers on Saturday.
With a crowd of 300 women, numbers more than doubled on previous years.
Ladies enjoyed champers, market stalls, and were inspired by guest speaker Julie Cross all while raising more than $10,000 for text based mental health service Virtual Psychologist.
"The support we got in Charters Towers blew me away, the biggest event we have had prior to that was 135 people," Ms Bradford said.
"The food was incredible, and Julie Cross our guest speaker was absolutely amazing.
"She's so down to earth and relatable and literally has you both crying, and laughing."
The Royal Women Unite initiative was formed years ago to support rural women and their families speak up about mental health.
Ms Bradford still remembers hosting their very first event in Rockhampton back in 2018, which attracted 105 guests.
"Mental health is such a huge thing in my eyes, and in the rural space," she said.
"That's why we are so passionate about these events because it brings those rural women together and lets them know that they're not alone, they're quite normal to feel these things and it's okay to talk about it."
