Quality and condition were mixed although the line-up of cows was much improved on the last sale. The processor buyers panel increased by one, which combined with improved finish and quality, saw values increase. A similar pattern was seen through most of the sale.
Slaughter steers sold to 470c, average 436c, steers 400-500kg sold to 487c, average 476c, steers 300-400kg reached 556c, average 469c, steers 200-300kg made 672c, average 573c and steers under 200kg sold to 698c, average 592c.
Slaughter cows sold to 403c, average 392c, cows 400-500kg reached 391c, average 365c, and cows under 400kg made 331c, average 311c.
Slaughter heifers sold to 550c, average 434c, heifers 300-400kg made 558c, average 466c, heifers 200-300kg reached 536c, average 486c, and heifers under 200kg made 630c, average 477c.
Cows and calves sold to $3600/unit, average $2860/unit.
Bulls over 600kg made 352c, average 331c, and bulls 400-600kg sold to 426c, average 343c.
