Police are now treating the disappearance of Jeremiah Rivers, missing for almost three weeks in remote south west Queensland, as suspicious.
Twenty-seven-year-old Jeremiah was last seen near Wippo Creek, approximately 20km south of Noccundra, on Monday, October 18.
Extensive land and aerial searches since have so far failed to locate him and police hold grave fears for his safety.
FLASHBACK: Search for missing man in SW Qld scaled back
Earlier this week police appealed to motorists with dash cameras who travelled along or near Warri Gate Road between Bundeena Road and Silver City Road between Sunday, October 17 and Wednesday, October 20 to check their footage for anyone walking along the roadway.
Motorists who observed anyone matching Jeremiah's description walking along Warri Gate Road, Noccundra or who offered him a lift, were asked to contact police.
Police also released footage of the missing man, taken at a Keraro Road service station at White Cliffs in New South Wales at 10.45am on Sunday, October 17, the day before he went missing.
An incident centre has been established at the Cunnamulla Police Station with local Criminal Investigation Branch detectives assisted by the Homicide Investigation Unit.
Southern Regional Crime Coordinator, Detective Acting Superintendent Stephen Blanchfield said the matter was being treated as a suspicious disappearance because there have been no confirmed sightings of Jeremiah.
"We are urging anyone who may have information relating to the movements of Jeremiah, and we are specifically calling for anyone with information regarding his disappearance, to contact us," Detective Acting Superintendent Stephen Blanchfield said.
"We would like to provide answers to Jeremiah's family and locate him."
Acting Superintendent Stephen Blanchfield said investigators were very encouraged by those persons who have already come forward with information.
He said even the seemingly smallest piece of information regarding Jeremiah's disappearance could assist.
He is described as Aboriginal, approximately 185cm tall, with a slim build and a tattoo of a cross under his right arm.
To date a number of lines of enquiry have been identified and investigations into Jeremiah's disappearance are continuing.
