Cattle were sourced locally as well as from Blackall, Barcaldine, Longreach, Aramac, Boulia, Winton and as far north as Julia Creek.
Prices remained strong across all categories. 220-280kg steers sold for an average of 630.1c topping at 706.2c, while light 0-220kg heifers saw a top price of 670.2c. This weaner sale saw buyers coming from as far as Inverell NSW.
Bulls under 450kg sold to 310c, average 310c, and bulls over 450kg made 330c, average 303c.
Cows 300-400kg sold to 414c, average 352c, cows 400-500kg made 390c, average 342c, and cows over 500kg reached 365c, to average 354c.
Heifers under 220kg made 670c, average 554c, heifers 220-280kg sold to 666c, averaging 538c, heifers 280-350kg reached 574c, average 436c, heifers 350-450kg made 530c, average 400c, and heifers over 450kg sold to 388c, averaging 376c.
Steers under 220kg sold to 714c, average 597c, steers 220-280kg sold to 706c, averaging 630c, steers 280-350kg made 650c, average 548c, steers 350-400kg reached 540c, average 479c, steers 400-550kg made 542c, average 469c, and steers over 550kg sold to 368c, average 352c.
Mickeys made to 685c, to average 501c.
