A 31-year-old man has died as the result of a gyrocopter crash in the Stonehenge region.
Police have confirmed that the pilot, Rodger Plant died at the scene when the accident occurred at around 11.30am on Sunday at Waroona Station, north of the town in western Queensland.
Mr Plant, who had been contract mustering in the wider Isisford-Yaraka region for the past year, leaves behind a wife and two children, who were due to join him from Charters Towers in the near future.
Mr Plant first began working in the Isisford district as a contract musterer some years earlier and his death has shocked the closeknit region.
Just over a year ago the district was reeling when 26yo Jack Joseland lost his life in a gyrocopter crash while mustering on a property in the Yaraka district.
The Forensic Crash Unit attended the scene of Sunday's accident and a report will be prepared for the coroner.
