Some large lines and good quality cattle saw excellent prices across the yard, with plenty of competition from both processors and restockers.
Heavy bullocks over 550kg sold to a top of 374c to average 348c, bullocks from 500-550kg sold to a top of 382c to average 357c, steers from 400-500kg topped at 455c to average 396c, feeder weight steers from 350-400kg sold to 476c to average 435c, 280-350kg steers sold to a top of 566c to average 458c, weaner steers from 200-280kg topped at 601c to average 578c, while weaner steers under 200kg sold to a top of 598c to average 578c.
Heavy heifers over 400kg sold to a top of 380c to average 327c, 350-400kg feeder heifers sold to 427c to average 374c, 280-350kg heifers sold to 480c to average 401c, 200-280kg weaner heifers sold to a top of 472c to average 439c, while weaner heifers under 200kg sold to a top of 472c to average 439c.
Heavy cows over 520kg topped at 296c to average 283c, medium weight cows from 450-520kg sold to 285c to average 278c, while heavy bulls over 600kg topped at 294c to average 279c.
Mark and Donna Kemp, Yungaba, Capella, sold Charbray steers for 601c weighing 248kg to return $1492. The Prince family, Janibee, Capella, sold Droughtmaster cross cows to 284c weighing 560kg to return $1591.
Strathmore Station Trust, Strathmore Station, Collinsville, sold Brahman steers to 570c weighing 254kg to return $1451. Their sister mates sold to 444c, weighing 278kg to return $1234.
