Country music festival Savannah In The Round has announced their festival is taking place on October, 1-3, 2021 in Tropical North Queensland.
As country music continues to explode around the world, Savannah In The Round is making a move to become one of 2021's biggest live music events.
Celebrating the line-up announcement with 3500 people at Australia's first COVID-safe country music mini-festival, the Summer Series was the first COVID-safe country music event in Australia.
Savannah In The Round was postponed during the COVID-19, but was later reimagined as the Savannah Summer Series mini-festival, giving tropical Northerners the first taste of what was to come in 2021.
This year's line up will be featuring an all Aussie line up including, John Williamson, Lee Kernaghan, Kasey Chambers, Graeme Connors and Troy Cassar-Daley through to the new breed of stars Busby Marou, The McClymonts, The Wolfe Brothers, Casey Barnes, The Buckleys and more.
Sound Australia's James Dein said there's never been a more important time for Australia to get behind its artists and its local communities.
"Savannah In The Round was always conceived as an event to bring the tropical North Queensland community together, as well as drive interstate tourism and shine a light on the amazing talent this country has to offer," Mr Dein said.
"COVID-19 may have caused a few setbacks along the way, but thanks to the amazing support from our artists, council members and the Queensland community, we've been able to get this event back on track.
"We couldn't think of anywhere on earth that we'd rather be hosting the next major country music event, than Australia's new home of country music, tropical North Queensland."
The festival will also host an Indigenous cultural program, community entertainment, local produce and food options and a full range of accommodation options from drive-in campsites and 'on-site 'glamping' tents right through to luxury options and transfers through accommodation partners in Cairns and Port Douglas.
Tourism Tropical North Queensland CEO Mark Olsen said the festival was a welcome addition to the region's event calendar.
"It is an incredible opportunity to showcase local and internationally renowned talent, including First Nations artists, in the spectacular setting of the Tablelands, an outback experience just 60km from Cairns and the Great Barrier Reef," Mr Olsen said.
The festival will be staged through a partnership between the state government, via Tourism and Events Queensland, Tourism Tropical North Queensland and event management company Sound Australia.
