It's the news Queensland racegoers and rodeo adrenaline enthusiasts have been waiting for, Einasleigh Races and Rodeo will go ahead this year.
After last year's event was cancelled due to the coronavirus pandemic, both committees have been hard at work, trying to develop and plan a COVID-safe event for this year.
Easter at Einasleigh is scheduled to go ahead from April 2 - 4 and COVID-safe restrictions will apply.
Einasleigh Race Committee president Michael Furber said the race and rodeo committees were planning ahead with those dates.
"We're all pretty excited to get it up and going again and hopefully the weather and COVID allows us to continue on," Mr Furber said.
"At the moment it's a little bit wet from all the rain we've just had so everyone is restricted out west but we're in the planning process and things are beginning to be put into place."
Last year, Einasleigh locals welcomed the safety aspect of having mobile service, after a Telstra tower was built in the township.
Mr Furber said after a tough year, people are looking forward to a weekend away with their family.
"People love to get away and go camping for the long weekend, we've got the beautiful Einasleigh River, which is a great swimming hole and we're keeping the event as family oriented as we can," he said.
Tickets are currently on sale for $90 a person for the whole weekend with children under 16 years given free entry.
