THE 4112 hectare (10,271 acre) Traprock property Barongarook has sold following an expressions of interest process handled by Ray White Rural.
The price has not been undisclosed. However, the sale price is understood to be about $250/acre.
Barongarook is described as open grazing country running from soft undulating traprock to Macintyre Brook flats. The property is mostly exclusion fenced. There are 25 paddocks plus laneways.
Water is supplied from 56 dams and an 8km double frontage to the Macintyre Brook.
Improvements include the four bedroom Barongarook Homestead, which is set in established gardens and overlooks picturesque Macintyre Brook, the three bedroom Barongarook Cottage, and the seven bedroom quarters/guest accommodation.
There is also a six bay machinery shed, five stand shearing shed, four silos, molasses tank, and outbuildings. There are also cattle yards, sheep yards, and a one stand crutching shed.
