With one major processor not operating this week some categories saw falls throughout the yard, however returns remained strong due to good competition from other buyers.
Feeder steers from 350-400kg sold to a top of 410c/kg to average 368c, medium weight steers from 280-350kg made to 440c to average 397c, while weaner steers from 200-280kg sold to 423c to average 395c.
Heavy heifers over 400kg sold to a top of 350c to average 310c, 350-400kg heifers sold to 334c to average 314c, 280-350kg heifers sold to 330c to average 308c, while 200-280kg weaner heifers made to a top of 396c to average 375c.
Heavy cows over 520kg topped at 298c to average 276c, while cows 450-520kg reached 277c to average 251c. Heavy bulls over 600kg sold to a top of 282c to average 264c.
Greg and Alicia Magee, St. Omer, Capella, consigned Angus steers to 330c weighing 583kg to return $1920. Mike and Vikki Donovan, Coolibah, Capella, sold Charolais steers to 419c weighing 270kg for a $1131 return. Dan and Tara Perry, Glendon, Emerald, sold Droughtmaster cross heifers to 394c to weigh 266kg for a return of $1051.
