The combined agents of CQLX Gracemere yarded an increased number of cattle this week totalling 2385 head, comprising 825 steers, 1213 heifers, 261 cows, 28 bulls and 58 cows and calves.
With a better quality yarding of cattle there was strong buyer competition across all categories. Processors, lotfeeders and re-stockers were all very active, with a rise across the board.
Cattle were drawn from Home Hill, Nebo, Sarina, Moura and local areas.
Steers 400-500kg made 346c/kg, average 339c, steers 300-400kg reached 348c, average 327c, steers 200-300kg made 366c, average 333c and steers under 200kg sold to 362c, average 318c.
Slaughter cows sold to 315c, average 303c, cows 400-450kg made 316c, average 282c, cows 320-400kg reached 328c, average 245c, and cows under 320kg made 268c, average 212c.
Heavy heifers sold to 342c, average 326c, heifers 300-400kg made 336c, average 320c, heifers 200-300kg reached 336c, average 301c, and heifers under 200kg made 316c, average 291c.
Cows and calves sold to $1725/unit, average $1400/unit.
Bulls over 600kg made 316c, average 296c, bulls 450-600kg reached 330c, average 294c and bulls under 450kg sold to 306c, average 275c.
