Three Queensland bulls have been named Champion of Asia/Africa for their respective breeds in the Champion of the World competition, with a further two claiming silver and bronze placings.
The Champion of the World competition was founded in 2012 to promote awareness, goodwill and trade between and within cattle producing countries and runs beween December 1 to the 14 every year.
Cattle qualify by winning breed shows in their respective regions.
Judges from each region select regional winners with females going on to compete for Miss World and winning bulls vying for the champion of the world accolade.
Breed winners then go on to face off against other breeds.
Claiming gold accolades were Simbrah bull Gowrie N243, Santa Gertrudis bull Yarrawonga Invictus and Speckle Park bull Roscrea Maverick.
Glenlands Droughtmasters received a silver placing for Glenlands Waverly while Lazy S Brangus' Lazy S Diplomat received a bronze.
SGS Speckles stud principal Gary Boon was thrilled by the news sire Roscrea Maverick had claimed Champion of Asia/Africa for the Speckle Park breed.
His small 20-head stud is based at Thornton in the Lockyer Valley and he bought Roscrea Maverick about two years ago at a sale during the Royal Melbourne Show.
Roscrea Maverick was named grand champion Speckle Park bull at the 2019 Toowoomba Royal Show, making him eligible for the Champion of the World competition.
"We always thought he was a really good bull but this is nice recognition," Mr Boon said.
"We would have taken him to the Ekka but the drought sort of got on top of us this year."
