Eidsvold Livestock and Property held their fortnightly prime and store sale on Wednesday. Numbers held firm with 775 head being sold, consisting of an exceptional run of younger steers and heifers.
With the current weather conditions, the quality and condition of the cattle presented was very good, with prices reflecting a rise of 20c-30c on most lines of cattle, compared to last fortnight's sale.
Droughtmaster cross cows from Eidsvold sold for 237c at 455kg returning $1079/head. Santa Gertrudis bulls sold for 230c at 925kg returning $2129/head.
Charbray cross steers from Cracow sold for 280c at 313kg returning $879/head, while Simmental steers sold for 278c/kg at 235kg returning $654/head, and Charbray cross heifers sold for 211c at 232kg returning $490/head.
Charbray Cross heifers from Monto sold for 228c at 378kg returning $863/head.
