THE highly improved North Queensland cattle property Myrrlumbing is being offered as a going concern with 1335 high grade Brahman cattle and station plant.
To be auctioned by Elders in Charters Towers on September 27, the 15,800 hectare (39,136 acre) rolling term lease has been carrying more than 2700 mixed cattle in recent years, which is regarded as a viable stocking rate.
The property is recognised as a having a mix of valuable grazing land types.
There is frontage country and basalt ridges along the Hann Creek, open red soil timbered country of ironbark, some bloodwood, plus black soil box flats.
The property is described as heavily grassed throughout, mainly by black and white spear, some Indian couch and useful top feed, quinine and desert oak plus improved species including widely scattered buffel, urochloa, seca stylo and wynn cassia.
Myrrlumbing is located 60km west of Charters Towers and 30km from the Flinders Highway.
About 4400ha has been cleared and is mapped as PMAV category X, including 280ha near the homestead, which was previously used for cultivation.
The property has been fenced into 10 mains paddocks with laneways and holding paddocks.
There is a well distributed stock water system, supplied by seven bores and 14 main dams with a number of smaller dams. There are also seasonal holes in Hann Creek and permanent water in Lolworth Creek.
Myrrlumbing features an impressive station complex including a four bedroom highset home and a smaller staff house with storage/machinery sheds, set in a picturesque location.
There is also steel cattle yards equipped with all necessary handling facilities, including double deck loading ramp, crush and scales.
