Kubota has launched the next generation M7-2 tractor in Australia, with a suite of new features based on customer feedback.
The biggest tractor in Kubota's offering, the M7-2 has three power models available, the M7132, M7152 and M7172, ranging from 97 to 128 kilowatts.
Kubota Australia senior product manager Konstantin Blersch said the new model featured a closed centre load sensing hydraulic system, an upgrade on the powershift transmission and a new electronic mapping on its 6.1 litre 4-cylinder engine.
Mr Blersch said the new model would bring something new to the table for Australian farmers, being easier to use with improved performance.
"We listened to what our customers had to say, took on their feedback and we're proud to bring this new model to the market," he said.
"The new sophisticated CCLS hydraulic system has a greater capacity than the M7-1, which provides unparalleled performance.
"We improved the M7-1's powershift transmission from 24-speed to 30 which will increase efficiency and with 54 speeds forward and 27 in reverse, the operator will be able to find the optimal gear for each job."
Mr Blersch said the new model had six powershift gears, up from four, as well as an auto shifting function which evaluated range gear and automatically adjusted engine output to improve acceleration performance under heavy loads.
"Having seen the high-performance capability of the M7-1, people are already wanting the new M7-2 as it is rolled out across dealerships in the coming months," Mr Blersch said.
"We're proud of our M7 series both first-generation and second and we're committed to continue working towards meeting the needs of Australia's farmers."
Mr Blersch said other customisable options included multi-function levers and suspension systems.
The new M7-2 series will be on display at various field days, including AgQuip at Gunnedah.
