RACE goers are in for a treat at the Richmond Races on June 15 with the event hosting the final of the $30,000 2019 Outback Racing Showcase Series.
Some of the horses to keep an eye on include the Henry Forster-trained Heroism and the Bob Burow-trained Good Job Bro.
For horses to be eligible for the great prize money on offer in the final, horses must have earned points in a minimum of one heat.
The Outback Racing Showcase Series has been running since April, with horses competing at Mount Isa, Gregory Downs and Barcaldine.
Richmond Turf Club secretary, Patsy-Ann Fox, said this year's races will be the first social event for the community since the flooding disaster earlier this year.
She said the race day will hold a family feel to it and provide a good opportunity for people to come together.
Of course, no country race day would be complete without a Fashions on the Field competition.
The Connie Navarro Legal Fashions on the Field at the Richmond Races will have categories for junior, teen and open, with more than $8000 in prizes up for grabs.
Those wanting to strut their flare will be able to fill out a nomination form on the day.
There will be a bar plus food available on the day, and other activities to keep everyone entertained during the racing program.
