BEEF: Coleman Stock Feeds has been servicing the north Qld cattle industry for more than 30 years.

It is for this reason the business has become a “go to” point for many northern graziers when it comes to stock feed products.

Of late, Coleman Stock Feeds at Charters Towers has been encouraging producers to consider where they will source their protein meal supplies from as the hotter months approach.

History has shown that certain feed lines will start to become scarce and producers need to be aware that a change of protein meal can affect taste and therefore intake.

Stock feed expert and owner, David Coleman, said protein meal and grains are proving very difficult to secure supply of, and very expensive, seeing a rise in the cost of supplements and a review of feeding strategies.

Coleman Stock Feeds has become one of the major suppliers of general and custom mix stock feeds for northern Australia.

That’s been built over 30 years of supplying north Qld and beyond with all its livestock feed needs.

Coleman Stock Feeds supplies general farm products and custom-made loose licks and blocks as well, throughout Qld and the Northern Territory.

Customer service and personal contact is high on the business’s priorities, along with high quality products, and prompt and efficient service.

The family runs Inorunie Station at Croydon, which gives them prime insight into the challenges facing the beef industry.

The business also provides feeds for poultry, pigs, horses, goats, sheep, plus fertilisers and seeds.
