WANDOAN property Pony Plains is on the market, offering a guaranteed income from gas. The 4004 hectare (9894 acres) cattle property in two freehold titles has a carrying capacity of about 2000 adult equivalents.
Marketing agent Trenton Hindman, Colliers International, said Pony Plains was a strategically, located institutional grade asset offered with a 10 year lease back.
“Based on a five year average, the combined net income is $1 million per annum with the majority of payments monthly in advance,” Mr Hindman said.
In addition to coal seam gas production wells, the property has the 200 person Pony Plains Village and a water take agreement.
Pony Plains has mostly open grasslands with shade lines and brigalow and belah stock camps. Most of the property is rated category X on the vegetation map.
The soils are a mix of loamy duplex types and self-mulching cracking clays, described as ideal for growing improved pastures.
Expressions of interest close on December 6.
