THE outstanding Pittsworth farming property Wainwrights is on the market, to be auctioned by Ray White Rural in Toowoomba on August 31.
Located 19km south of Pittsworth, the 276 hectare (683 acre) property has 247ha (610 acres) of black soil cultivation.
All of the country is currently fallow. Some 80ha, which grew sorghum last year, has recently had 8 tonne/ha of feedlot manure applied. The 105ha which grew cotton last year has been subject to a manure program for the past three years. The balance of the cultivation was used to grow chickpeas last winter.
Marketing agent Matt Cleary said Wainwrights was ready to go.
“Wainwrights is superb, high yielding black soil river country,” Mr Cleary said. “It's best known as pure black magic with the added bonus of irrigation.”
Wainwrights features a 110 megalitre water allocation. There are three 30ha centre pivot circles and one 15ha circle. Three phase power is supplied to each pivot point.
Improvements include a machinery shed and silos.
