This year’s Katherine Show Equestrian Classes are going to be bigger than ever.
With a new committee in the saddle, the event is expected to draw more riders from across the NT.
Equestrian Committee member Kym Henderson said in addition to exciting prizes, competitors can expect a packed week with classes set to test horse and rider.
“There will be more show jumping this year, set out to encourage riders from Darwin to stay for the full week,” Ms Henderson said.
“This also gives locals a greater chance to get out on the arena and compete,” she said.
The equestrian events run from Tuesday July 17 to Saturday July 21.
Tuesday kicks off with a full day of dressage, and on Friday in addition to Grand Prix show jumping, there will be a Grand Parade.
