After a month away with wet weather and public holidays 3933 head came together at Gracemere on Friday, April 21.
The yarding consisted of 2155 steers, 1103 heifers, 512 cows, 91 cows and calves and 72 bulls. Cattle were drawn from Collinsville, Nebo and Mackay in the North and local areas.
Competition was strong across the board with all regular buyers and re-stockers operating. Overall the market was firm to dearer on previous sales.

Slaughter steers made 283.2c/kg to average 274.1c, steers 400-500kg to 338.2c to average 312.7c, steers 300-400kg made 362.2c and averaged 321.7c, steers 200-300kg sold to 515.2c and averaged 339c.
Steers under 200kg topped 420.2c selling to an average of 374.7c.
Slaughter weight cows made 265.2c to average 234.9c, cows 400-450kg to 265.2c and average 232c, 320-400kg topped 265.2c to average 199.3c, while cows under 320kg sold to 220.2c to average 177.9c.
Heavy heifers made 286.2c to average 269.3c, heifers 300-400kg made 330.2c to average 282.2c, heifers 200-300kg sold to 352.2c to average 300.7c.
Meanwhile, heifers under 200kg made 352.2c to average 330.3c.
