The Camooweal Drovers Camp festival will be celebrating its 21st birthday from Friday, August 25 through to Sunday, August 27.
The Camooweal Drover's Camp, which opens from May to September each year, is a national shrine to acknowledge the contribution to Australia's cattle industry development by stockmen and women.
What started back in 1996 as a small celebration of Australia’s droving heritage has grown into one of the largest festivals in north-west Queensland.
Friday will see the traditional street parade take place which will include floats, musicians, horses and coaches and will lead into a fun-filled, lively night full of entertainment.
The street parade will be followed by the Ozzie Outdoors Mail Race where the winner and runner up prize money goes to your chosen charity.
Over the weekend, come and cheer on the competitors in the bronco branding event, and on Saturday night a concert will be held featuring a special guest artist and poetry readings.
You can also wander through the memorabilia shed and enjoy the top class art and photographic exhibitions and competition and displays.
