THE 29th Northern Territory Cattlemen's Association (NTCA) annual general meeting, conference and gala dinner, to be held on March 21-22 at the Alice Springs Convention Centre will be one of the year's premier events in the beef industry.

An intensive program will be delivered aimed at challenging industry to look at the emerging issues facing current and future generations of producers.
Primarily focusing on NTCA members and the broader industry, the conference will be attended by more than 400 people, including producers, agribusiness and industry leaders from the Northern Territory, Australian states and overseas, and MPs and senior ministers from the NT and federal governments.
The theme of this year's event is 'Driving change, driving our future', and it will focus on the international markets and commodity outlook; emerging consumer trends and patterns; animal health, breeding, production and animal welfare; conservation and emerging environmental services and products; industry empowerment and engagement with urban Australia; and managing risk and variability in a changing world.
The program will begin on Thursday, March 21, with the ladies' luncheon at noon, followed by the NTCA annual general meeting at 3.30pm.
The next day (Friday, March 22) will begin with the industry conference at Convention Centre starting at 7.30am, with the gala dinner at the Alice Springs Turf Club capping off the program beginning at 6.30pm.
