VALUABLE information was gained regarding the current state of the beef industry by those that received a passport to the ‘Australian Beef Dinner’ held the night of the first day of the field days at the Richmond Shire Hall.
The Rabobank-sponsored dinner was well supported by MLA with Regional Manager for Australia, Lachlan Bowtell providing a snapshot of the current state of play of Aussie beef marketing and pricing to domestic and overseas destinations.
The large crowd that attended the dinner created a great atmosphere which filled the hall; with much laughter and merriment warming up a chilly Richmond night.
While guests mingled and shared a laugh they sampled MSA-grade Aussie beef from the standup grazing menu, featuring dishes from around the world.
The dinner changed format from the previous year which was a more formal dining occasion, which when all was said and done received a big thumbs up from guests.
The Rabobank Prime Cattle Presentations were awarded with Ardie Lord winning the grand champion pen, David Carter coming in second and Rachel Adcock third.
