THERE’LL be no shortage of food at the Rotary FNQ Field Days in May.
Committee chair Ida Portella said the committee has 17 food vendors lined up to serve the thousands of people expected to file through the gates over the two days.
“At the 2013 field days, the lack of food vendors was an issue,” Ms Portella said.
“We’ve listened and made sure that next month’s event is well equipped to provide not only the quantity but also the variety of food required to feed visitors," she said.
The committee ran an expression of interest process late last year for food vendors.
From that, 17 food vendors have been secured to sell food over the two days.
This comprises a mix of sporting groups and commercial operators from across the Tablelands, offering a wide range of food items from hamburgers to pizzas, curries, salads and lots more.
The field days, being held on May 27-28, is a joint initiative of the Tableland Rotary Clubs of Atherton and Mareeba.
