Values were on the rise, in line with market trends, at Blackall’s monthly weaner and store sale last Thursday.
Blackall Combined Agents yarded 1660 head, drawn from Aramac, Barcaldine, Muttaburra, Winton, Tambo, Jericho, Alpha, Hughenden, Cloncurry and Blackall areas.
Weaner steers sold to 348.2c/kg while feeder steers sold to 338.2c/kg.
Heifers in the 220 to 280kg range sold to 294c/kg.
Medium to heavy cows topped at 210c/kg.
Bulls sold to 240.2c/kg.
A fat and store sale has been scheduled for Blackall on September 14.
