It took them two days to get there but in the end the long drive from the Atherton Tablelands to Roma proved worthwhile for Telpara Hills Brangus Stud principals, the Pearce family, who sold the top price bull at today’s Roma Brangus Sale.
Telpara Hills King Pin 392L3 (P) (AI) (ET) sold to Hardy Woodard, Knackbrake, Eidsvold, for $26,000.
Mr Woodard intends to use the bull in his Taloumbi Brangus stud herd and over his herd of Ultrablack cows.
A total of 107 bulls sold under the hammer at the Australian Brangus Association Sponsored sale, for a clearance of 75 per cent and a sale average of $7687.
There was 100pc clearance in the females, with 15 lots averaging $3983 and topping $6000.
