STRONG interest is expected in Allan Brown’s Jondaryan irrigation property Durham Park, which will be auctioned by Ray White Rural will be auctioned in Toowoomba on September 22.
Located about 37km west of Toowoomba on the Warrego Highway, the productive property consists of 198 hectares (490 acres) including 162ha of black to chocolate soil cultivation.
The standout feature is 200ML a groundwater allocation supplied from three interconnected irrigation bores. In addition there is a 72ML allocation from Oakey Creek.
Water is pumped to two, five span Zimmatic centre pivots servicing four and a half circles. Irrigated crops have included lucerne, grain, and cotton with the potential for small crops.
There are also spray lines used to irrigate lucerne. A bore on Oakey Creek provides water for the garden and livestock.
Durham Park has a grand turn of the century homestead with press metal ceilings and polished pine floor boards, which is positioned overlooking the picturesque Oakey Creek. The home has large wide verandahs, a large modern kitchen and living area, formal lounge with fireplace, three double bedrooms, and two bathrooms.
The majority of the other structures on the property are near new condition, and include 48x12m steel frame machinery shed, 18x12m steel frame workshop shed, two 73 tonne Sherwell silos, and a new steel cattle yard complex serviced by a laneway system.
There are also six stables, a 60x20m dressage arena, round yard, and a new six walker.
