GRANTS of up to $2500 are available to Queensland farmers to help tackle family business and succession planning.
Producers accessing Farm Management Grants can seeking professional advice in relation to succession planning, or a family member wanting to acquire an interest in the family business. Rebates of up to 50 per cent of fees paid for the advice are available, with a maximum of $2500 per applicant, per financial year.
The Queensland Government is providing up to $1 million per year over three years for the Farm Management Grants. These grants form part of the Queensland Government’s Rural Assistance Package targeting the issues of rural debt, business risk and succession.
