THE Toowoomba-based RACQ LifeFlight Rescue helicopter was tasked to a motor vehicle accident on the Moonie Highway near Dalby at 11.31am this morning.
A female in her thirties was driving with her four children along the highway when the vehicle left the main road and crashed into a tree.
The mother and one child were entrapped in the vehicle and had to be freed by local firefighting services in assistance with Queensland Ambulance Service Paramedics and LifeFlight's Critical Care Doctor.
The RACQ LifeFlight Rescue helicopter transported a two year old male suffering from suspected multiple traumatic injuries to Lady Cilento Children's Hospital in a serious but stable condition.
Queensland Government's Rescue 500 airlifted the mother, while the rest of the children were taken by road to Dalby Hospital.
