Do you have an idea that can help make North Queensland a safer place to live, work or play? If you do, then the Suncorp Group and the Queensland Police Service want to hear from you.
The Safer Queensland Community Grants program offers community groups and police the opportunity to apply for a one-off grant between $1,000 and $10,000 to assist in the development and implementation of projects that improve road safety or help reduce crime or the fear of crime in Queensland.
Suncorp representative, Chris Rothwell, said the organisation was pleased to once again be offering North Queensland residents the chance to make positive changes.
“The Safer Queensland Community Grants empower communities to get involved with issues important to their local area and work together to develop local solutions,” Mr Rothwell said.
Applications for the 2016 Safer Queensland Community Grants are open until 31 August 2016. Interested community groups and police can visit www.suncorp.com.au/saferqld for information.
