A yarding of 2100 cattle came to hand at Gracemere sale on June 24.
The yarding consisted of 1019 steers, 359 cows, 653 heifers, 48 cows and calves and 27 bulls.
The maximum for all prime cattle was once again dearer while the store cattle also firmed. Feeder cattle also met strong competition.

Beth Williams, Gracemere, sold quality Droughtmaster weaners with the steers topping at 374c weighing 205kg to return $ 767 and the heifers topped at 323c weighing 209kg to return $676.
A&S Wilson, Dululu, sold a run of Brangus cross steers to top at 378.2c to average 213kg to return $788.
DR Mylrea, Coowoonga, sold Brahman cross steers to top at 331c weighing 511kg to average $1692.
DJ Kleier, Clermont, sold Brahman cross cows and calves for $1520/unit.
L Downing sold Charbray cross cows for 267c weighing 489kg returning $1331.
