THE 6583-hectare (16,266 acre) Longreach property Dalmore has sold under the hammer for $1.705 million at the Ray White Rural auctions in Brisbane this morning.
The price is equal to about $259/ha ($105/acre) or $2131/adult equivalent and shows the ongoing strong interest in western Queensland.
Dalmore was offered by Boyd Curran and bought by local agent Richard Simpson.
Located 38km north of Longreach along the Cramsie-Muttaburra Road, the black soil, open downs country is estimated to run about 800 adult equivalents.
The grazing homestead perpetual lease is grassed with Mitchell, buffel and Flinders grasses. It is lightly shaded with gidyea, boree and coolabah trees.
Improvements include steel cattle yards to work 1000 head, an older five bedroom home, machinery shed, workshop and a woolshed that has been converted into a large hay and storage shed.
Water is sourced from an artesian bore and three dams which supply multiple points across the property.
The marketing of Dalmore was handled by Bill Seeney from Ray White Rural in Longreach.
