GRAHAM and Jo Eagle are moving on with the next chapter of their lives and will auction their Allora property Yarnfield in Toowoomba on April 8.
The property consists of 124-hectares (307 acres) and is located 10km west of Allora and about 45 minutes from Toowoomba.
Yarnfield is described as having an abundance of improved pastures including Rhodes grass, Gatton panic, creeping blue grass, lucerne and native grasses. Some 120ha has been previously cultivated and a forage crop is usually planted annually. The property has highly productive heavy black soil flats and running into lighter loam soils with a gentle slope.
Yarnfield also has a modern Thoroughbred breeding and spelling complex with 16 horse boxes in two walk-through stable buildings. There are also two stallion boxes with large cattle rail yards. It has a new 8x15m shed with a concrete floor and an additional machinery shed.
The property is watered by four dams and a bore and all of the paddocks have reticulated water. There is also 3km of laneways servicing the paddocks.
Marketing agent James Croft said the lowset four-bedroom homestead was a real feature of Yarnfield.
“The 422 square metre structure features verandahs on all sides and is set in established gardens,” Mr Croft said. “There is also a covered and lined open outdoor entertainment area. Yarnfield is a complete package with a perfect mix of country, superb improvements catering for either horse or cattle interests.”
