THE 46-hectare (114 acre) Far North Queensland property Mutchilba Farm sold under the hammer at an Elders auction in Mareeba this morning.
Marketing agent Brian Rowling from Elders said the three parties which had registered to bid at the auction had also placed bids. The buyer was an adjoining landholder.
Located 7km from Mutchilba and 40km from Mareeba, the farm is in two freeholding lease titles. Mutchilba Farm was also offered with a 453ha term lease made up of light granite grazing country.
Some 45ha of Mutchilba Farm can be irrigated. It has a 212-megalitre channel water allocation and underground water lines. The country is described as suitable for crops or trees.
Improvements include two homes, quarters, sheds, two cold rooms, and cattle yards.
The sale was handled by Brian Rowling and Bill Denmark from Elders.
