This year 220 grey and red Brahman bulls from more than 40 different studs will go under the hammer from 9am Friday morning.
On Thursday evening, vendors, buyers and sale organisers were invited to mingle and catch up before the sale at the Charters Towers RSL for the 'Elders Gold City Sale Evening' from 6.30pm.
Last year's sale saw a total of 186 lots sold, to achieve a 98 per cent clearance, while the sale averaged $7018 to gross at $1,305,500.
Topping the sale last year was Lapunyah Walker (PS) who ran away with the ultimate sale record, selling for $60,000 to Arafura Cattle Company, Normanton.
