There will be a hearing next month in Mount Isa into possible changes to Sunday trading laws.
The state government is conducting a parliamentary review into regional trading hours in places like Mount Isa.
Currently major shops such as Coles and Woolies in places like Mount Isa are unable to open on Sunday and reforms enacted in 2017 to the Trading (Allowable Hours) Act 1990 put the matter on hold for five years.
Queensland Parliament's Education, Employment and Training Committee is inquiring into Queensland's trading hours arrangements which set the hours and days of the week that retailers across the state can trade, including on Sundays and public holidays and at special events.

Commerce North West conducted a survey in Mount Isa which will be sent to the committee as part of their submission.
The Mount Isa forum will be held at Ibis Styles on Sunday, November 21 from 7.30pm to 9pm.
