The 2021 Cloncurry BeefUp Forum is set to host a line up of innovative producers and industry experts who will be discussing the latest research and technologies in the red meat industry.
Delivered by Meat and Livestock Australia, the event is scheduled to be held at the Cloncurry Shire Council Precinct from October 21-22.
BeefUp forums provide northern Australian beef producers with opportunities to get together and learn about the latest on-farm research and technologies, while facilitating peer to peer learning between likeminded individuals.
Producers will be able to hear first hand about the outcomes of various MLA Research and Development projects, and how that information can be used to drive profitability and productivity within a beef cattle operation.
This year's event will feature an interactive Q&A panel session addressing animal production, grazing land management and the next generation, as well as an afternoon paddock tour, and ample opportunity for producers to network over a couple of beverages at the BeefUp dinner Thursday night.
Other key topics that will be discussed include drones in the north, understanding climate drivers, drought resilience, satellite technology, Angus genetics in the north, and new research on animal pain relief.
