A total of 46 vendors situated from the south to the mid-north of Queensland have selected an impeccable draft of 220 bulls for the 2021 Gold City Sale, being held at the Dalrymple Saleyards, Charters Towers, from 9am on Friday, November 5.
Of the 220 lots, 179 are registered bulls and 41 are herd bulls, with the reds section to comprise 104 lots, while 116 greys have been catalogued.
ABBA general manager Anastasia Fanning said the lineup of bulls for this year's sale display strong sire appeal with good length and bone.
"The functionality of the sires is vitally important focusing on structural correctness and fertility traits," Mrs Fanning said.

She said the sale continues to hold great appeal, especially for Northern producers.
"Breeders bring their bulls north to sell in this center so that those producers don't have as far to travel. It's a win-win for all involved."
Included in each of the larger drafts is a vendors choice bull. These bulls are chosen by the vendors as the tops of their draft. There will respectively be nine registered vendor choice grey and red bulls in the catalogue."
Mrs Fanning said the 2020 sale produced an excellent result with a new sale top price of $60,000 recorded. On the day 186 lots sold, representing a 98 per cent clearance, while the sale averaged $7018 per head.
"It was very encouraging to see. There was a very good lineup of bulls in 2020 and there will be another good line-up this year."
Those unable to attend the 2021 Gold City Sale in person can utilise the Elite Livestock Auctions online selling platform to watch the bulls go through the ring and bid on their desired lots.
