Police are investigating a fiery two-vehicle crash west of Charters Towers last night that claimed the lives of three people.
It is understood two four-wheel-drives were travelling on opposite directions along the Flinders Highway at Black Jack when they are believed to have collided.
Three men, who were travelling in the two vehicles, died at the scene.
Investigations are continuing into the crash, which occurred about 20 kilometres west of Charters Towers.
Police were expected to address the media on Saturday morning.
