A full panel of buyers, both restockers and processors competed well for an overall good quality yarding.
Heavy bullocks over 550kg sold to a top of 414c to average 367c, 500-550 bullocks sold to 462c to average 420c, steers from 400-500kg topped at 468c to average 415c, feeder weight steers from 350-400kg sold to 508c to average 484c, 280-350kg steers sold to 604c to average 523c, weaner steers from 200-280kg topped at 630c to average 579c and weaner steers under 200kg were too few to quote.
Heavy heifers over 400kg sold to a top of 466c to average 405c, feeder heifers from 350-400kg sold to 480c to average 420c , medium weight heifers from 280-350kg sold to 500c to average 432c, weaner heifers 200-280kg sold to 538c to average 488c, while weaner heifers under 200kg were too few to quote. Heavy cows over 520kg topped at 347c to average 327c, medium weight cows from 450-520kg sold to 322c to average 318c, while heavy bulls over 600kg topped at 359c to average 312c.
The Sibson family, Cotherstone, Dysart, sold Brahman heifers to 400c weighing 370kg to return $1480. The Crowther family, Sweetwater, Emerald, sold Santa cows to 329c weighing 569kg to return $1873/head. Colinta Holdings, Meteor Downs, Springsure, sold Chrabray cross steers to 540c weighing 320kg to return $1728.
