Vendors' confidence in selling remains strong with 840 head yarded for Monto Cattle and Country's fortnightly fat and store sale.
Bulls sold from 331 to 379c topping at $3260. No bullocks were yarded for this sale although the number of cows presented compensated for numbers with Brahman store cows selling for $1863 or 332c. Heavy PTIC cows made $1855 at 338c. Store steers sold to 619c with heifers reaching 538c. Cow and calf units made $2700.
AC and MA Clarke sold 460kg Droughtmaster steers returning 440c or $2027. Charbray steers 406kg on account of RA and KL Staines made 476c or $1934. GR Talbot yarded 322kg Droughtmaster cross steers to realise 527c or $1698.
R and L Blyton's Charolais cross weaner steers made 577c or $1469. CL Doblo penned Brahman weaner steers to reach 619c or $1186.
SD and LA Taylor sold Droughtmaster cross cows and calves for $2700. G Dahtler also sold Droughtmaster cross cows and calves to realise $2400.
Coominglah Grazing Co yarded lines of Charbray and Brahman cross store heifers weighing 328-340kg to reach $1515 and $1347 respectively. GS Ogle's Santa cross heifers made $1481 at 410c and 361kg.
Good lines of weaner heifers were yarded with R and L Blyton's Charolais cross pen reaching $1207 at 524c, GR Talbot's Droughtmaster pen making 506c or $1318 and AC and MA Clarke's Droughtmaster cross line making $1188 at 227kg. N Mossman also yarded nice lines of Droughtmaster heifers making $1076 at 509c.
