NEW and vintage machinery will be on centre stage at the Rotary FNQ Field Days, northern Australia's premier field day event.
Alongside the many exhibitors that are showcasing their new, state-of-the-art machines and implements, will be vintage tractor owners.
These machines will come together on Wednesday, May 26 for a parade following the official opening in the rodeo arena.
"We've had a low-key style of opening in previous years, but this year it's in the area and we'll have the parade which will include machinery that people haven't seen for many years," field days committee member Jeanette Sturiale said.
"The parade will be followed by a bobcat skills show from local earthmover Rex Petersen, and he'll do that show on Thursday and Friday as well. The arena will also be the site for demonstrations of current machinery that's available from our exhibitors."
