A team of Townsville Grammar School's best sporting coaches are heading west in a bid to return support to rural and regional communities.
The tour is part of the School's Boarding Connections program and will see the specialist coaches visit boarding families in the Charters Towers, Richmond and Cloncurry.
Townsville Grammar School Principal, Mr Timothy Kelly, said the Sports Clinics Tour is a way of bringing something different to the communities who have been supporting boarding at the School for generations.
"It's important to us that we keep our connections strong within the western region, as we greatly value our relationships and the loyalty our families have shown us over many years," said Mr Kelly.
"This time we thought we would do something a little different, by offering strength and fitness clinics for children who may not necessarily have these opportunities available locally. We are sending three of our team members who can offer a fun afternoon of sports and fitness in each community.
